Service Biography

Adolphe Shingk was born at Howick, Quebec, on 13 October 1895. A single Roman Catholic bricklayer, he was drafted under the Military Service Act and entered the Canadian Expeditionary Force at Montreal on 17 July 1918 as Private 3087662 with the 1st Depot Battalion, 1st Quebec Regiment. He served in Canada and was discharged at Montreal on 17 August 1918 on demobilization after being returned to the Registrar's Records.
