Service Biography

Philorum Montreuil was born at Aubrey, Quebec, on 5 May 1896 and worked as a farmer. Drafted under the Military Service Act, he joined the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment at Montreal on 15 July 1918 as Private 3167053. He served in Canada and was discharged at Montreal on 14 August 1918 on demobilization and return to the Registrar's Records.

At medical examination Montreuil was 5 ft 6½ in tall, weighed 147 lb, and had a 34-inch minimum chest with 3-inch expansion. He had blue eyes, brown hair, and good physical development.
