Service Biography

Raoul Petelle was born on 18 August 1898 at Ormstown, Quebec, the son of Xavier Petelle. A farmer and Roman Catholic living at Sainte-Philomène, Quebec, he was drafted under the Military Service Act in July 1918. He served in Canada as a Private with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment, Canadian Expeditionary Force, and was struck off strength on return to the Registrar's Records on 14 August 1918.
