Service Biography

Charley Leger was born at Valleyfield, Quebec, on 15 March 1895. A single Roman Catholic clerk, he was drafted under the Military Service Act and entered service at Montreal in August 1918 as a Private with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment. His service was entirely in Canada, and he was discharged at Montreal on 13 September 1918 on demobilization.

Medical examination at Montreal on 9 August 1918 recorded Category E, height 5 ft 5 in, weight 106 lb, chest 27-29 in, fair complexion and hair, blue eyes, and good physical development.
