Service Biography

Fernand Perras was born at St-Timothee, Quebec, on 27 March 1891. A single Roman Catholic farmer and butter maker living at St-Isidore-de-Laprairie, he was drafted under the Military Service Act and entered the Canadian Expeditionary Force at Montreal on 2 August 1918 as Private 3171102. He served in Canada with the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment. During the demobilization period he was on farmer's leave and was formally struck off strength at Montreal on 25 February 1919.

At calling up Perras was recorded as a single Roman Catholic farmer and butter maker living at St-Isidore-de-Laprairie, Quebec. He was 5 ft 2 in tall, weighed 125 lb, had a chest measurement of 30-33 in, medium complexion, blue eyes and brown hair, and was assessed as physically well developed.
