Service Biography

Isaie Provost was born at St. Chrysostome, Chateauguay County, Quebec, on 10 October 1896. A single Roman Catholic farmer, he was drafted under the Military Service Act and joined the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment, Canadian Expeditionary Force, at Montreal on 22 August 1918 as Private 3172411. He served in Canada, spent much of his service on Farmer's Leave, and was struck off strength on demobilization at Montreal on 10 February 1919.
