Notes
Bessie Colter, daughter of Samuel William Colter and Annie Elizabeth Long, was initially attached to No 9 General Hospital (Shorncliffe) after arriving in England . In November 1917 she was temporarily attached to No 4 Canadian General Hospital to await embarkation to France with No 8 Canadian Stationary Hospital. She was with the unit when it arrived in France in December 1917 at Camiers. She was also with the unit when it was set up in Charmes in April 1918. In July 1918 after becomiing ill she was evacuated to a Base Hospital in Boulgne and SOS.
