Service Biography

James Curry Cameron was born in Hemmingford, Quebec, on 11 August 1905. A lumberjack, he enlisted in the Canadian Active Service Force at Montreal on 20 August 1940 and served as a Private with No. 9 Company, Canadian Forestry Corps. His service was entirely in Canada. After a Medical Board found him physically unfit for military service under existing standards, he was discharged at Quebec City on 27 November 1940. He later received the War Medal 1939-1945 and the War Service Badge, General Service Class.
