Leo Roy of Cazaville, Quebec, enlisted in the Canadian Active Service Force at Montreal on 17 June 1940. He served overseas with Les Fusiliers Mont-Royal and rose to the rank of Sergeant. Roy was severely wounded by mortar fire on 4 August 1944 and later returned to duty. He was discharged at Montreal on demobilization on 26 September 1945. He died on 30 September 1977.
