Service Biography

Antoine Carriere was born at St-Polycarpe, Quebec, on 8 December 1920. A cultivator before enlistment, he joined the Canadian Army at Montreal South on 10 September 1942 and served with the Canadian Provost Corps. He served in Canada, the United Kingdom and Northwest Europe, rose to Lance Corporal, and received the 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, and War Medal 1939-45. He was honourably released on demobilization at Montreal South on 13 March 1946.
