Service Biography

Arnold Gerald Park was born at Richmond, Quebec, on 18 February 1894. A dentist and Roman Catholic living at Ormstown, Quebec, he was drafted under the Military Service Act, 1917, and joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force at Montreal on 3 October 1918. He joined the 1st Depot Battalion, 1st Quebec Regiment and was taken on strength of the Canadian Army Dental Corps effective 10 October 1918. His documented service was in Canada, and he was discharged at Montreal on 2 January 1919 on demobilization.

1918-12-24 — Signed the demobilization release under the procedure for M.S.A. soldiers on unexpired leave of absence without pay.
1919-01-02 — Struck off strength on discharge; demobilization. Last Pay Certificate states he was discharged while on conditional leave of absence.

Notes

At calling up he was recorded as a dentist, 5 ft 4½ in tall and 171 lb, with a 39 in fully expanded chest and 3 in expansion, medium complexion, gray eyes and dark brown hair. He reported one year of previous service with the C.O.T.C. at McGill, Montreal.
