Service Biography

Adelard Vaudrin was born on 10 August 1896 at St-Stanislas-de-Beauharnois, Quebec and worked as a farmer. A Roman Catholic and single, he was drafted under the Military Service Act, 1917. His recruit declaration was signed at Montreal on 15 July 1918, and he joined the 2nd Depot Battalion, 2nd Quebec Regiment there on 21 August. He served in Canada as Private 3167101 and did not proceed overseas. He was discharged at Montreal on 2 December 1918 when his services were no longer required under demobilization arrangements; he also signed the discharge form's certificate for a soldier taking discharge on his own request. His discharge medical examination found him in good general health.
