Service Biography

Lawrence Tobin was born on 8 August 1897 at Hemmingford, Quebec. A single Roman Catholic farmer living at Hemmingford, he was drafted under the Military Service Act and served in Canada as Private 3087590 with the 1st Depot Battalion, 1st Quebec Regiment. He was on leave of absence without pay from late August 1918 and was discharged on demobilization at Montreal on 14 January 1919.
