Letters From the Front

Dated: June 10, 1915

A postal card has been received for Willie Brooke, who reports that, along with several other Ottawa boys they were taken prisoners and are at present at Geissen, Germany. He writes, I am safe and receiving good treatment. We are allowed to write one postal card a week and a letter on the 3rd and 17th of each month. The grub we get is good but would appreciate it very much if you could send me a tin of soda biscuits, potted meat, chocolate, and cigarettes. There is a place here where we can buy such luxuries as sugar.
