News has reached Mrs Stubbs of 9 Poole Road, Egremont, that her son Pte. Albert Stubbs, Grenade Section, 29th Canadians was severely wounded on Dec. 16th. He was shot in the back whilst returning from his post, but from the report he is progressing as well as can be expected. Pte. Stubbs had been in Canada fourteen years, and had joined his battalion in Vancouver. B.C.
I have the original newspaper cutting which includes his photograph. There is no date or publication on in it and I have not had success in my searches.
