475823 Pte. H. E. Drope, P.P.C.L.I., has reached England, via Russia, from a German prison camp. Originally an insurance agent at Regina, he was wounded and captured at Sanctuary Wood in June, 1916, and spent 22 months at Hells-berg, East Prussia.
He finally escaped across Poland, and on reaching a point 35 days' march from his prison was given transportation to Moscow. He travelled to England with the British Economic Mission. It is probable that Drope will join the Royal Air Force on the conclusion of three months' furlough to Canada.
