News From the Boys

In a letter from Pte. C.E. Thicke, written Oct. 17, he says his camp was within a mile of the bomb dropping by the Germans recently, when a dozen soldiers, mounted men, were killed. The Zepps flew over the shacks where he was and the lights were very bright and the noise terrific. Now no lights are allowed on dark nights in the town and at the camps. Charlie is getting anxious to get into the thick of the war, having been in England all the time since leaving here. But he is seeing a good bit of England, having been in several of the different camps.
