Lawrence Newbold, of this place, successfully passed the medical examination at Haileybury on Saturday and enlisted with the 97th. Others are likely to follow.
We are pleased to note that E. Trevail and W. Powell, who enlisted with the 3rd contingent in February, have been honored by receiving Corporal and Color-Sergeant stripes, respectively.
