Extract from “Liskeard News”
Capt. Ainsley, of the 97th, now stationed at Haileybury, gave the local Home Guards a talk on military exercises, as well as some practical work, at the drill on Wednesday evening. Capt. Ainsley is a brother of the well known Captain of the 37th, now at Niagara, and the former is in Temiskaming recruiting for the 97th. He may be found at Haileybury at any time and is desirous of enlisting as many recruits as possible.
