Extract from “Uno Park News”
Letters received Monday from the local boys in training with the 58th Battallion at Niagara state that when the announcement was officially made of their early departure for England the camp broke into a roar of cheering which lasted for some time. The Englishman said “I shall be bloomin’ glawd when we do make a stawt.” The men of the battalions which are leaving expect to get four days leave of absence to visit home before their departure.
