Letter from Pte Wilbert Beswetherick

Mrs. Beswetherick hears from Pte. Wilbert Beswetherick from the trenches in France, letter dated Dec. 17. He writes in good spirits, in spite of the mud and the prevailing colds among the boys. He had received the parcel sent over in good condition. He has sent to the children each, as a souvenir, a frank, which is something like our shin plaster, and is worth in Canadian money about 20c, but the Germans have seized the Bank which issued this note and it is now of no commercial value there. Wilbert mentions having seen Pte. Enos Grant a few days before.
